What will I learn? 


This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to support the workplace as an assessor within their place of employment, within the industry or an educational organisation.

Through achieving this qualification, it will enable organisations to assess and develop their current and future workforce.

• Gain an understanding of the principles and practice of assessment.

Course Progression:

This qualification is suitable for those who already hold one of the Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Assessor Award qualifications or wish to complete the assessor qualification units within one certificate qualification. It will also enable learners who complete this qualification to progress to further study or to become an internal quality assurer for their organisation. Learners may also wish to add this qualification to their teaching qualification.

Credit Value: 15 credits

Guided Learning Hours: 84 hours

Total Qualification Time: 150 hours

Minimum age: 19 years

Entry Requirements: Learners must hold a qualification related to the area of assessment

The Level 3 course requires: 150 hours total qualification time

You will have 5 direct teaching days (40 hours) focusing on each unit followed by 44 hours of 1:1 tutor support.
